Willemijn Verloop

​Willemijn (1970) is an impact driven entrepreneur and driving force behind the Dutch Social Enterprise movement. She was the founder War Child in 1995 and its executive director for 15 years, creating positive impact on the lives of over 1 million children in war torn countries.

In 2012 Willemijn co-founded Social Enterprise NL, the Dutch national network for Social Entrepreneurs. In 2014 she co-founded Social Impact Ventures, which is currently the largest private social impact investing fund in NL. She has broadly published on the subject of social impact and co-authored the book ‘Social Enterprise Unraveled’ (2013). Willemijn holds positions on several non–executive boards including ASN bank, Tony’s Chocolonely, SSBA and War Child.
