Scilla Elworthy

Scilla Elworthy is a true advocate for living a non-violante life, and tries to convey this lifestyle to as many people as possible. Proving that her strategy works with a TED talk that reached over 1,200,000 people and three Nobel Peace Prize nominations.

Founder of Business Plan for Peace, Author and three-time Nobel Peace Prize Nominee, Scilla works with Oxford Research Group to develop effective dialogue between nuclear weapons policy-makers worldwide and their critics.

She founded Peace Direct in 2002 to fund, promote and learn from local peace-builders in conflict areas.

Her latest books, The Business Plan for Peace: Building a World Without War and Pioneering the Possible: Awakened Leadership for a World that Works received critical acclaim.

And she not only writes well: with her Ted Talk about nonviolence she reached over 1,200,000 people, in a well articulated plea for how to deal with bullies without becoming a thug.

To discover your mission and put it into action - instead of worrying on the sidelines - is to find peace of mind and a heart full of love.
